GeoRugby uses a small amount of browser storage to make the game work. Most of it is local storage rather than cookies. It works in a similar way, but stays on your device and isn't sent with every request. We don't use analytics cookies. When advertising is enabled, Google may use separate advertising cookies or similar storage, depending on your region and choices.
Strictly necessary and game storage
These items make the game work: your guest identity, your progress and your sign-in. Because they're needed for the service you ask for, they don't need consent. You can still remove them at any time.

Analytics
Our first-party usage counts use the game's existing guest player ID where one is already saved. Otherwise, a temporary player ID is held only in memory for the page load. A separate visit ID also lives only in memory and disappears on refresh or when you close the tab. We don't set an analytics cookie or save an analytics-only ID in local or session storage. An older analytics session-storage key, if present, is removed when usage tracking runs. See the Privacy Policy for what we count.
Third-party requests
Our fonts load from Google Fonts. Google receives your IP address to deliver them, but we don't ask Google Fonts to set cookies. Links to Wikipedia only contact Wikipedia if you tap them.
Advertising
GeoRugby may show Google AdSense ads in a few fixed places: after question 2, at the bottom of your results, and beside the results on wide desktop screens. They won't appear over the map or next to game controls. When advertising is enabled, Google may use cookies or similar storage for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention, and for personalised advertising where your choices permit.
Advertising storage and personalisation depend on your region and choices. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland, non-essential advertising storage and personalised ads are subject to Google's certified consent tool. In applicable US states, Google's privacy messages provide opt-outs for targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Elsewhere, Google's regional privacy framework applies as configured. The necessary game storage above remains separate. We don't detect or store your location ourselves for this purpose.
